[NCOG] Pruning day - Bolton, nr. Appleby

Postby MarkEvens » Tue Jan 24, 2017 12:48 pm

From 10am onwards on Saturday, February 4th, we will be pruning Hilary Wilson's orchard at Bolton. Many will know Hilary as a leading expert on apples in the North who has done much to help others to learn and participate in fruit growing. A shoulder problem currently impairs her ability to prune, so this is an opportunity to help her and also learn at the same time.
We hope that there will be hot food available, as well as cakes, but watch this space for further details.
Provisional arrangements are to meet at the village hall in Bolton and proceed to the orchard from there. For those arriving later, we hope that signs will be in place to direct from the centre of Bolton.
