Origin Thursby, near Carlisle 18th C. Mid season dessert; pick from September for use through October. Trees are vigorous & good croppers which do well on difficult sites in high, wet & cold regions. Fruit medium sized with attractive red stripes. Flesh creamy white, soft, juicy with a rich sweet savoury flavour.
